Trust me, no one is as surprised at this than I.

Back in the fall, J & I toyed with the idea of taking a long weekend adventure to Gatlinburg.

Trying to plan this before the holidays and during football season was near impossible so we made the decision to take a weeklong beach trip instead. It takes a village, people. I am pleased to report that our family vacation was a roaring success! We had a wonderful time in the sun and sand for seven glorious days. Packing and planning for a toddler friendly trip can be overwhelming so I put together a list to lend you a hand. O. U: Please feel free to recolor anything I upload unless stated otherwise. Always link back to the thread in-case of update purposes. I finally collected all the bits and pieces I needed to wire up the new to me Yam lathe. When I ran the conduit for the milling machine from the main electrical panel I anticipated whatever lathe I ended up with would be on that side of the shop. Stopping short of actually running the wire I pulled a string through the conduit with the mill circuit. Just my luck I had to add another two boxes to the conduit run for the new lathe. I didn't get to use the string but the conduit was already in place and just needed a slight modification. After looking at the machine wiring I decided to use a plug and receptacle instead of hard wiring it. I have a Deckel single lip cutter grinder that I wanted to be able to use without having to run a dedicated circuit just for the grinder. The lathe is a simple four wire setup, three phases and a ground, no neutral leg. The stock electrical box on the lathe is not much to write home about. For a lot of people looking for bigfoot is a fun hobby. It gets them outdoors, it's a mystery that needs solving, and a lot of people really enjoy that sort of thing. Taking over their thoughts, and leading them down a dark and winding road. The version of libertarianism that I refer to as the hard line natural rights position holds that individuals have an absolute right to themselves and their property, hence that any violation for any purpose is wrong. Obvious implications are that it is wrong to collect taxes for any purpose or for a starving man to steal a loaf of bread. It is a position that many libertarians not only agree with but view as defining libertarianism. The Bleeding Heart Libertarians with whom I have recently been arguing reject it too.

Thinking about our argument, it occurs to me that there are at least three different approaches to creating an alternative, and that part of my reason for arguing with them is that their approach strikes me as the least attractive of the three.

“A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare. ”Justice H.

Walter Croskey, in the opinion holding that California parents do not have the right to home school their children.

The term "fascist" has been overused, and in any case I know nothing about Croskey's views on economics. But I find it extraordinary that he would be willing to explicitly argue that public schools exist largely to indoctrinate children in views the government approves of, with or without the consent of their parents.

I came across the quote in a webbed essay on the decision.

It reminded me of an old academic article by John Lott in which he conjectured that the reason schooling was so widely provided by governments was as a way of reducing the cost of controlling their populations, and offered some statistical evidence in support.

One version of the paper is available online.

I have been testing various fast analog to digital converters with the Arduino. There are two objectives. The results were a bit noisy as seen in the next picture. The noise might not be the fault of the A to D converter. There are ongoing problems with Snort IDS not updating on IPCop. So I thought I would try out Smoothwall instead. Smoothwall installed much faster and easier than IPcop. There were almost no questions that required a lot of technical knowledge. then menus in Smoothwall are arranged differently and took a little getting used to.

Then the problems started.

I could not even get IDS to turn on in Smoothwall. I've checked, and this is legit. While some people died, a LOT of people are horribly injured, or simply lost their houses and livelihoods. They've got supplies for now. What they need is liquid cash. Girl gets drunk. Girl gets drunker. Girl wrecks car. Girl calls boyfriend, who takes girl home. Girl fights with boyfriend.

Boyfriend leaves.

Flag Bracket Adjustable Aluminum White Flagpole Holder by College Flags and Banners Co. Have you heard of Spectrum Noirs? They are the latest and greatest in markers. This is a by SWALK and is called "present" I love the little gift she is holding and knew it would make a wonderful Birthday Card! I colored her with Copic markers. I cut the banner out by hand. I was going to add words onto it and ended up liking it this way. So I left it alone, which is hard for me to do sometimes. Try, try again! So, I don't have the picture available that I would like to post, but I do have the little Easter bunny treat box that I made. Sooo cute!. Never mind questioning previous statements by management supporting the economics of its technology at “lower temperatures. Thanks to JD for the information that Dr Dan Poulter of my last post was once a gynaecologist, before he became a politician. He was anaesthetising a lady for a gynaecology colleague of whom he was not particularly fond. The gynaecologist had just inserted a Cusco into the oblivious lady. “Look at that” said my colleague. “ A bent piece of steel with a cunt at each end!”. A little musical interlude for the bank holiday.

Enjoy.

Regular readers will know that I have a soft spot for the ice cream manufacturers Federici , not only for their rather nice ice cream but also for some of their advertisements, which, rather gently in my view, mock catholicism. Well Federici have refused to sign an undertaking not to run further advertising which might offend catholics and are challenging the ban. Good for them and I hope they win. And then we might get more pictures of the nun in the stocking tops. Due to overwhelming response, registrations for this training run is closed. Now I'm reading Hearing Jesus speak into your sorrow. It's the last one that stood out for me. I asked Andy, "Do you know what sin is?""No. ""Sin means disobeying God. Do you know what disobeying God means?""No. ""It's like disobeying Mummy and Daddy. Like when we ask you to do something, and you don't do it. I hate hot weather. She goes online every morning to check the weather report. I like the taste of icypoles and icecreams, and that I'm allowed to eat them when it's hot.

I like the feel of sand and water on my skin.

I like the smell of sunburn cream. I just don't like the flies. This is a powerful film, whether or not you look at it from a feminist perspective, if you can get past the violence and gore. And that's a big "if". Plenty of gore to be had here. The Daughter and I were looking for dessert one day, and her google search yielded The Pie Folks as having the best pie in the area.

We decided to check it out to see.

It's located in Germantown, a Memphis suburb, and wasn't a long drive. It was easy to find and easy to get to. The Daughter had a chocolate/peanut butter pie, and I had the award-winning strawberry: We both had coffee. This pie was wonderful! It doesn't surprise me to hear that they've won awards. There is a diagram here showing where this sand aquifer is located and telling some of the history of its formation. I remember back when they fluoridated it, there was an uproar.

My family just kept happily drinking it out of the tap.

I wonder if those non-fluoridated water sources are still available. jen-sized. Registration for the Latin Mass Conference includes a buffet lunch. The Traditional Latin Mass will be offered on both days. “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. ' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. This has gotten a defensive reaction from me because I did not think it was true. That is why I thought I was defensive. Probably the real reason I was defensive was because it was true, or true enough, to warrant a reaction. The person who attacks small group studies as “sharing ignorance” is a person who wants a teacher. However we have a problem with this. Teachers also have been known to “share ignorance” or false teaching with students. Having a teacher is no guarantee of getting true Bible teaching. They examined the Scriptures for their final authority. hendersonbearings. co. ihampshire.

I've just read Lynne Truss's Eats, Shoots and Leaves.

I'd known about it for a long time, but only recently got a copy, at a charity stall on a summer's day during the Wimborne Folk Festival. Especially fascinating were her insights into the history of some of our punctuation marks – a reminder that things weren't always so, which is a helpful corrective to the conservative tendency to preserve things in stone. But even more memorable was the wittiness of way she critiques her own prejudices as well as those of others. Off to find the Baptist church in Stratford this morning.

The church's building has an unusual frontage in a simplified classical style, but I didn't take a photo at the time, and as I write it's pouring with rain so I'm not going back! Good to meet and worship with some friendly people.

Then it was back via the Sunday market, between Bancroft Basin and the RSC Theatre. First up was the stall of potter Roy Clarke, with some beautiful designs and glazes. We've been wanting a bulkhead clock for Erin Mae for some time, and I have most of the wherewithal for making one, but this was very tempting. In the end, we decided it wasn't quite the thing, and pushed on. Half-way along there was a stall from an owl rescue centre. My best beloved was very taken with this little chappie, but he probably wouldn't fit under the bridges. Of course, a local owl might be a way of keeping the birds from decorating Erin Mae during the night. What we did purchase, unexpectedly, was lunch. .
